Competition Achievements

Congratulations to all of our skaters who competed at Retro Skate 10th Annual skating Gala on the weekend of 9th and 10th November 2019. This was a great event and was the last event for Retro club at their wonderful home on the sea front at Great Yarmouth.

We had 16 skaters competing and all of them skated with pride and confidence and most importantly had fun.

Congratulations to:

Gold: Ashleigh Rose-Ingram - Newcomer Figures 8yrs and under, Linayah Phillips - Novice Free 11yrs

Silver: Lucille Burke - Basic Skills 10yrs

Bronze: Lizzie Blackburn - Basic Skills 10yrs

Team CARSC are very proud of all our skaters and what you have achieved since starting skating with us. You have all worked so hard to get where you are now and have shown determination and confidence when going out there and skating your routines. For some of our skaters it was there first competition and they all skated like they had been competing for a long time so very well done.

If you believe in yourself and your abilities, you will achieve. Well done!!

FARS Novice Figures, free and dance competition 2019

Some of our skaters competed this weekend at the FARS Novice Figures, free and dance competition 2019. This was a national novice event with clubs from across the country competing in a variety of events from figures, free and dance. We had a great weekend and all our skaters skated so well and should be proud of how far they have come. We came home with one gold awarded to Rose Langford!

Skaters that competed:

Courtney Coles

Megan Newman

Ashleigh Rose-Ingram

Rose Langford - Gold medalist

Linayah Jackson-Phillips

Charlie Flack

Chris Farrier

Jo Heesom

All our skaters did so well and we congratulate Rose Langford for receiving a gold medal in her event which was fully deserved. Our most important message to our skaters is that it is about going out on the floor and enjoying the experience and having fun. We like to install the mindset that it is not always about the medals, but about the taking part and being together as a team and helping each other. Below are some pictures from the event.
